How to brand your business like a pro.
Every company is unique. Correctly portraying your brand’s uniqueness, can not only ensure that you reach your right target audience, but it can also tremendously help to improve your sales, and the loyalty of your customers.
A lot of people are emotional shoppers. Whether it’s purchasing a box of socks merely because we like their funny advertisement or packaging, or deliberately choosing to buy from a business as an act of support for a social group that we identify with, we can all admit that we are a little swayed and influenced by what we see and feel. This is the reason why adequate branding is important for every business.
This is the topic of our blog post today: How you can correctly brand your business, and portray your company’s vibe and aura in the most accurate way possible.
Here are some simple steps you can take to ensure adequate branding:
1. Define your company’s vibe
What is it your company is really into? What’s the specific thing that sets you apart from others? Do you prioritize creativity, fun, liveliness, or boldness, futurism, professionalism, simplicity, minimalism, the list goes on? Define how specifically you’d like your company to be understood, and note it down.
2. Research and brainstorm
Find and collect images, shapes, colour palettes, icons, etc. that match your brand. You can find inspiration on social media, design websites or forums. The idea is to find as many elements as possible that represent what you want your brand to look like.
3.Combine all of your ideas on a Mood board
Create a mood board with all the wonderful ideas you’ve collected. You can then edit, cancel, or delete elements from your board. You can create multiple versions of your insight using different combinations of the elements you collected. Create multiple versions of your intended design, using your favourite photos, colour palettes, icons, etc.
4. Ask for Feedback
Brainstorm with your team and ask for feedback on your mood board and the designs you’ve created. Adjustments can then be made to ensure that the design fits your brand perfectly.
Launch your design, and that’s it! Have fun with your branding process, and most importantly, ensure that you always take your potential customers or end-users into consideration throughout the entire process.
Take care, now! : )
