How to create a remarkable website user experience.

How to ensure an unforgettable website user experience.

The ultimate goal of most websites is to provide your users and potential customers with clear information about your brand or business, and details about your services or products, all packaged to show off your brand in the best possible way. How much you take your end users into consideration while creating your website might determine your bounce rate, sales, and the overall satisfaction of your users/customers.
How then can you ensure that you create the best user experience possible? Well, this is our topic for today, so let’s jump right in! 🙂

1. Ensure that you design and build your website AROUND YOUR END USER

This is the most important point. It’s very tempting to want to create a website that shows off your IT or design skills. While this could be awesome if done correctly, if incorrectly executed, it can over complicate your website, reduce navigation ease, increase your bounce rate (bounce rate =

how many visitors click off your website after viewing only 1 page), which is definitely not our goal, and overall, decrease potential sales.
The solution? Keep it simple enough for a non IT pro, or a regular layman to use your website with relative ease.

2. Navigation ease

This is almost identical to the first point. Keep your website easy to navigate and to comprehend. People do not want to spend 30 seconds trying to figure out where your products are. Have everything laid out, easy to reach and click on. Think about it, how many times have you clicked off a website impatiently because you couldn’t find what

you were looking for within the first 1 minute? I know I have. Don’t be the person with that super complicated website. Ain’t nobody got time for that! 😀

3. Put your best foot forward

Ever seen a website, very well built, looks great. Then you click on the gallery or services page, and you find less than mediocre looking images, content, etc. Don’t be that person. Lol. Always put your best products up first, use the best quality images you have, and always strive to  present the best version of your company to your users.

4. Appearance

You noticed this wasn’t my first point. 🙂 This is equally as vital as the other points. What is your company’s aura? What does your brand represent or promote? Do you promote professionalism, health, greens, creativity and vivaciousness? Let the appearance of your website display these details of your brand, in the best possible

light. Pick a colour scheme, fonts and other elements that portray your brand accurately, and go from there.

5. Web speed and overall web quality

I touched on this point in our last post. No one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE likes a slow, “millipedish”, malfunctioning website. I’ll give you a little secret: optimize ALL your images, delete unnecessary data and avoid large files wherever possible. This will make a huge deference on your web speed. You can thank me later. 😉

So, that’s it! These are our top 5 tips to ensuring a pleasant user-experience on your website. Feel free to leave your own tips, questions and comments in the comments’ box. And remember, for all web and graphic design related stuff, Ribofix technology is your best bet! 😉 Take care, now.
